Ziggurat 2 characters12/24/2022 ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Would totally recommend if you enjoyed the first. I would've given it a 8.5/10 in a world where Gunfire Reborn or Robo Quest didn't exist, but the bar has been put so high that the game felt outdated the day it came out, it's a solid 6/10, still play it from time to time but mosly as a timewaster instead of giving it hours upon hours of gametime. The Shooting feels good, the weapons and abilities are fun, the character designs are pretty (if a bit generic) and in higher difficulties the game will kick your ass, but it does get repetitive pretty quickly, the campaign mode it has aliviates this a bit by having you unlock weapons/relics when completing dungeons, but said dungeons are pretty much exactly the same proceduraly generated maps, if you played Mothergunship it's exactly the same approach but without the funny general talking to you in comms. Had a lot of nostalgia for Ziggurat since it was one of the first Roguelite shooters, 2 is pretty much 1 but all around better in almost every way sans level design. Bought it since early access release, lots of fun, but sadly the best thing about the game is the amazing soundtrack (seriously, it blew me away, so good it i bought it from directly from Steam) ![]() The most common listening problem is12/24/2022 ![]() So I might say something like, "Oh my goodness I can't believe, you must've been so angry. Drama queen listening is where I want you to ratchet up the drama or ratchet up the passion you're you're speaking about. One of my favorite listening filters and a very common one is what I call listening for drama or the drama queen listening. Again, I might be well-intended in my listening but not necessarily helping you if I'm trying to look smart in the process. If you're the speaker and I'm the listener and I'm listening to look smart, That can come off as really off-putting. This is when someone's listening and all they really want to do is hear you say a little bit and then add their piece on demonstrating how much smarter they are or how they know something you don't know. Another kind of listening that is a filter is listening to look smart. So listening to fix doesn't help, even when it is well-intended. It's not really helpful to you if you're the speaker and I'm the listener, if all I'm doing is trying to solve your problem but I'm not really spending time to understand enough about it, that I can get past probably what you've already determined for yourself. This is where I'm not listening so much to understand you as listening for the kind of information I need so that I can come up with a solution and slap it onto your problem as quickly as possible. One of the listening filters is what I call listening to fix. Their intentions are good, but the actual impact they have, not so good. ![]() Here are four of the most common listening filters that get in the way of people listening effectively. So we want to take a look at how to be really mindful of the way we listen. By the way, you'll see these in personal relationships as well, having good intentions and the kind of impact don't always line up. They work at cross-purposes for many trusted advisors. And I call these habits listening filters. ![]() Bad habits of listening are common practice and even the best intentions to be supportive and understanding and to create a genuine connection, well, bad habits surface. Sadly, for many of us, this was all the training we got on how to listen. For too many of us, our training in the art of listening went like this. ![]() Graphviz edge length12/24/2022 ![]() The library i used here is certainly sturdy enough to handle 80,000 nodes. def todot (self, returngraph False): ''' Creates a DOT format representation of this chain, where states are represented as labelled nodes and transitions as directed arcs labelled by their probabilities. Some keep the number of simultaneous connections low, generally limiting them to one or two. Some services limit the amount of bandwidth you can use in a given period. That said, every VPN listed does put some restrictions on its free version. They aren't the only ones, but they are the best we've reviewed so far. The VPNs listed in the table above, however, offer totally free subscription levels. Instead, most companies offer time-limited trials or money-back guarantees. We strongly recommend also using a password manager to create unique and complex passwords for each site and service we use, enabling multi-factor authentication wherever it's available, and using antivirus software. VPNs also won't protect you against every danger stalking the web. Advertisers also have a myriad of tools at their disposal to track you online, so we recommend using a stand-alone tracker blocker. It's also possible, albeit difficult, to use complicated timing algorithms to predict when and where your data leaves the VPN server. Once your traffic exits the VPN server, it can be monitored and perhaps intercepted-especially if you're connecting to sites that aren't using HTTPS. This means that your ISP and anyone else watching won't be able to see what you're up to and will have a much harder time tracing online activity back to you.Īlthough VPNs can help improve your privacy online they do have limitations. Read Our Hotspot Shield VPN ReviewĪ VPN creates an encrypted connection (often referred to as a tunnel) between your computer and a server controlled by the VPN company, and then it passes all network activity through that protected connection. Also, you'll be limited to US-servers, so this service is best for people who live in the US. If you must use a mobile device, iOS is preferable since it lacks ads. Other desktop users won't have to deal with the speed throttling found on mobile. Mac users are best off, since the service places no data limit on those devices. There are a lot of caveats to Hotspot Shield VPN's free offering, but if you can thread the needle it might work very well for you. The company has not released the results of a third-party audit, but has been evaluated by the other companies that license its service (such as Bitdefender Premium VPN). Hotspot Shield VPN also uses ads to monetize its free users, but only Android.įree subscribers can only connect one device at a time to Hotspot Shield VPN, and can only access US-based servers. Free subscribers on macOS have no data limit, however. We like that free users get 500MB of data per day, but we 're not thrilled at the 2Mbps speed limit for mobile devices. Hotspot Shield VPN's free subscription has a lot of give and take. Giving access to five server locations does give you more freedom when traveling or looking to spoof your location. A single simultaneous connection means you'll only be using on device at a time, which given the data cap may not be a bad things. 's 10GB data limit is a bit more generous than some of the competitors, but you'd still have to be mindful in order to not run out before the month's end. You'll also have to pay a hefty up-front cost if you decide to spring for the paid subscription, although doing so will grant access to many features not available for free subscribers. free users are limited to just a single simultaneous connection. Plus, the service has received a third-party audit. Especially notable is that does not ask for your credit card information when creating a free account. Both have a very low risk of progressing to PDR in fact, the Early Treatment Diabetic Retinopathy Study (ETDRS) did not examine those with no retinopathy nor mild NPDR. As you switch between controlling each character, the others will wait patiently until you need them. ![]() You do need to make sure you leave them in a safe place, as enemies can (and will) attack them while you are occupied elsewhere. The game does include a two-player mode, but it requires both players to use the same keyboard, and the screen often won't display both players' characters at the same time. Multiplayer play would have been much nicer if you could link two (or three) computers together. Hopefully the next episode in the Lost Vikings saga will improve this. Norse by Norsewest looks great - the level backgrounds are detailed and the character animations are fantastic. Each character's actions are detailed and the animation is smooth. The Windows 95 version of the game does have a problem with display size - the default size is a 320x200 window, which is too small on most systems. Scorch and Fang are the duo of a dragon and werewolf respectively, introduced in The Lost Vikings 2. It can be set to 640x480, but it still doesn't match the full-screen display you get with the DOS version.
